That is my ultimate point. Nobody seems to get that point though. In science there is either a good reason, or you need to assign a big uncertainty. In this specific case, either there is a good reason (like the 3 streams are churned strongly by the action of the piston anyway) that the new injectors are better despite their obvious drawback, or the statement needs to be changed to "there are pros and cons to each configuration". So far, the last statement seems to stand.
